Bring your characters and stories with you. MatChat Mover exports accessible Character.AI character profiles and chat history to a local .matchat migration file. HOW TO USE 1. Open Character.AI in Chrome and sign in. 2. Click the MatChat Mover extension icon. 3. Select your signed-in tab and click "Connect & load characters". Connecting reloads the tab, so save any unsent text first. 4. Select characters and click "Collect selected characters". 5. Review the results and click "Download .matchat file". PRIVACY Chat content is processed on your device and is not uploaded to MatChat. This version contains no advertising, analytics, or telemetry. Sign-in authorization is reused temporarily in the Character.AI page's memory and is not saved or included in exports. LIMITATIONS The extension reads only data your account can access. Private character definitions may be unavailable. Missing definitions are not generated by an AI model. The character list covers characters you created and recently chatted with, not every character in your account's history. Some media and chat types are not supported. Changes to Character.AI may affect collection. Export files contain original chat content and are not encrypted. Store them securely. This release supports export only. Importing into MatChat and continuing conversations are separate features. MatChat Mover is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Character.AI.
