Chapter Check — Lint Video Chapter Timestamps
Overview
Live-lint the chapter timestamps you type in the YouTube Studio description editor and flag the exact line breaking the rules.
Chapter Check live-lints the chapter timestamps you type into the YouTube Studio video description editor, so your chapters turn on the first time — no more publishing, checking, and re-editing. As you type timestamps in the description box, Chapter Check reads the text already on screen and flags the exact line that breaks a chapter rule: • First timestamp must be 0:00 — flagged when your list does not start at zero. • At least 3 chapters — an informational hint when you have fewer than three. • At least 10 seconds apart — flags any adjacent pair that is too close, naming both timecodes. • Strictly ascending — catches timestamps that go backwards or repeat. When every rule passes, Chapter Check shows a green "chapters look good" state with an honest prediction (not a guarantee) that the chapter rail will activate. What it does NOT do: • It never edits your description or clicks anything for you — it is strictly read-only. • No account, no sign-in, no cloud, no tracking. All linting happens locally in your browser. • Two simple controls: a master on/off switch and a toggle to show or hide the informational hints. Chapter Check is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC. "YouTube" is a trademark of Google LLC.
