Your subscriptions should feel like a library, not an endless list. ChannelNest organizes subscribed YouTube channels into a nested folder tree that appears in the YouTube sidebar. Synchronize the channels currently available on YouTube's Channels page, review new or uncertain results, and move each channel into a structure that makes sense to you. Very large lists may report a partial scan; ChannelNest keeps existing assignments and lets you retry. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Create, rename, nest, move, and style folders. - Synchronize subscribed channels from YouTube’s Channels page. - Review new channels before placing them. - Use local classification presets based on channel names, descriptions, and content hints. - Search a deep folder tree and see recursive channel counts. - Export organization data and recover from available local backups. - Undo supported move and bulk-classification actions. - Use the popup and sidebar in light/dark mode and supported interface languages. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT For user-initiated Sync, ChannelNest reads channel name, channel ID/URL, avatar, description/content hints, and visible subscription membership. When you open a folder feed it temporarily reads recent public video title, video ID, author, and publish date. ChannelNest stores its folder tree, channel metadata, Rules, preferences, consent, Focus state, and bounded backups in Chrome’s local extension storage on your device. There is no ChannelNest account or backend, no advertising profile, and no tracking SDK. Your ChannelNest data is not sold, shared for unrelated purposes, or sent to an AI provider. SAFE ORGANIZATION ChannelNest does not subscribe, unsubscribe, like, comment, or watch videos for you. A failed or incomplete synchronization preserves your existing folders and assignments. Pagination that YouTube has not exposed to the page is reported as partial rather than being claimed as a complete account sync. HOW TO START 1. Install ChannelNest and open the extension popup. 2. Review the local-data disclosure. 3. Open YouTube’s Channels page while signed in. 4. Choose Sync, then review and organize new channels.
