Change Image Dimensions
Overview
Resize images to the exact pixel size you type. Everything happens in your browser — no upload, no account, no permissions.
Change image dimensions to the exact number of pixels you type. Drop your pictures on the page, type a width and a height, and every file comes back at exactly those numbers — 1024 × 576 stays 1024 × 576, to the last pixel. This extension requests no permissions at all. Your images never leave your computer. No trial, no limits, no watermark, no subscription. What it does: - Exact width and height in pixels, with an optional lock that keeps the original proportions - A whole batch in one go — take the files back one by one or as a single ZIP - An optional maximum file size in KB on top of the exact pixels, and the pixels are never traded away for it - Making a picture bigger works too, with a plain note that a picture cannot gain detail it never had - JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP go in; JPEG, PNG or WebP come out, and the format is never swapped behind your back - The original file name is kept and both numbers are added, so 1200×630 and 1200×675 give two files, not one - Transparent parts become white when you save as JPEG, never black, and no bars are ever added - The last size and format are still there the next time you open the page Honest limits, told up front: - Colours are saved in the sRGB range. A picture in a wider range (Display P3) keeps its exact pixel size, but very saturated colours come out slightly duller. - A maximum weight in KB works for JPEG and WebP. A re-saved PNG is often heavier than the original, so the screen says so before you start and the format is left as it is. - A browser cannot hold more than 32,767 px on a side, so a huge panorama gets a sentence in plain words instead of a silent empty file. Everything runs on your own computer. No account, no sign-in, no server, no advertising, no tracking, no cookies. It works offline, because there is nothing for it to connect to: the only address in the whole code is this extension's own Chrome Web Store page, and it opens only when you click “Leave a rating”. Different words for the same job: a photo resizer that never opens a website, or an image size in KB for an upload limit that keeps refusing your file.
