Design Diff is a tool that uses AI to detect and report style discrepancies between a Figma design and a live web page implementation. Built for front-end engineers, UI designers, and QA teams who need pixel-perfect results. You choose the AI provider and model — Gemini, OpenAI, and Claude are all supported. The extension automatically fetches the vision-capable models available for your API key, so you always have access to the latest options. A floating panel on the page handles settings, element selection, and comparison — all without leaving the tab. You can optionally match the browser-window width to the Figma frame before capture, so the design and implementation are compared at the same width. Settings are saved to local browser storage and never leave your device. Launch the extension and paste a Figma URL. Click to select the DOM element you want to inspect, and the extension does the rest automatically: it captures a screenshot, extracts computed CSS styles from the element subtree, fetches the Figma node data via API, runs AI analysis, and generates a diff report. The report lists discrepancies in color, font size, spacing, border radius, opacity, and more — each with an impact rating and an explanation of the difference. A side-by-side view places the Figma capture and the implementation screenshot at the same scale with color-coded markers; hovering an item in the list highlights the corresponding region on both images. Diff reports can be exported as HTML files. The Markdown copy works as a direct prompt for an AI assistant — paste it in and the AI outputs concrete fix suggestions for each issue.
