CheckGTM Helper shows you the tracking running on any website and helps you catch problems before they affect your ads and reports. A quick overview in one click: • Google Tag Manager containers, and whether one is loaded twice • Whether the site uses server-side GTM • Consent Mode state, and the ad pixels and analytics tools on the page • The platform the site is built on • Color-coded notes: red for problems, yellow for warnings, green for what's working A side panel that stays open while you browse the site: • Events: every dataLayer event as it happens, split into ecommerce and leads vs everything else, with checks on each event (missing currency or value, items without an ID, a repeated order ID) • Pixels: every request sent to ad and analytics platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and Google, with its parameters, plus a table showing which event reached which platform • Customer: the customer data found in events and whether it is hashed (values are hidden by default) • Consent: Consent Mode commands, pixels sent before the visitor consented, and tracking cookies • Summary: the purchase funnel, all notes in one place, and an HTML report saved on your device Also: • A tab inside the developer tools (F12) with the real response status of every tracking request • Reads events inside Shopify Custom Pixels • Optional coloring of tags in GTM Preview mode by platform and status, with a filter Your privacy: The extension only reads the page you have open, and only when you use it.
