)Overview
Make small charity donations at checkout that add up automatically over time.
Give a Penny lets you make small charity donations while shopping online. As a college student, I am tired of feeling like giving to charity is a far-off goal. Small donations add up greatly over time, and I made this extension as a way to make charitable giving possible while shopping online. When you visit a checkout page, Give a Penny can prompt you to donate a small amount to a charity you choose. Instead of charging you immediately each time, donations are tracked and saved as pending. Amounts can be anything, like $1 or $0.25, or even a penny. Once your pending donations reach $10, you are securely redirected to Every.org to complete your donation to your selected charity. Features: • Choose your donation amount ($0.01–$10) • Select from trusted global charities • Set daily and monthly donation caps • Track your full donation history • Control which websites show prompts Give a Penny does not process charity payments directly. Every.org, a nonprofit donation website, handles all donation transactions securely. You can also support the Give a Penny project through a separate optional contribution. Your small donations. Very real impact.
