new ad blocker

Hello. Thanks for your extension. It's very useful.

I was watching some vid and came up with an idea. Current ad blockers in the market prevents ads from being loaded from the first place, resulting YouTube to step in directly because their revenue is impacted. Users are happy to not be able to be disrupted, however.

What if it's possible to satisfy both parties? Instead of blocking ads, let them get loaded and play, but it'd still prevent being seen or heard by user. Maybe load the ads, but play it in separate container where user cannot see or hear? This way the only impacted party would be advertisers. YouTube would generate revenue, and users would be happy to not see the ads anyway. YouTube would still be making money if advertises decide to stick around.

If YouTube still step in even with this approach, maybe it's time to switch to another platform.

Breaking websites since Chrome Update

I guess it's because of the manifest v3, but now Instagram won't pop up the pictures or videoplayer, twitter won't load images nor sidebar. This is not blocked by any filters in, I pressed reset settings and removed any custom stuff and still does not work. Disabling it makes the websites load and work as normal. As of 2022-09-27

No longer blockign twitch ads

I used the released version of ublock origin until it started to no longer block twitch ads, read that one should move to development version. I have done so, installed and it does not block twitch ads. The ads in twitch are now becoming very intrusive and i am wondering if or what i am doing wrong for ublock origin not working?

Bug with Gmail on Chrome | Desktop

Hello,

I discovered a bug with the this version of Ublock. Thanks for the app btw, great product.
With my build, 1.41.7.3, it is blocking the body text of emails in Gmail.
I confirmed by disabling the dev Ublock extension only, then refreshed- and the body text came back.
I re-enabled this version and the body text of the emails disappeared again.

Filtering broke in v1.35.2

All filters broke in v1.35.2 for Chrome Versjon 91.0.4472.77 (Offisiell partversion) (64-bit).
Also broken in uBlock Origin development build v1.35.3b7 for Chrome Version 91.0.4472.77 (Offisiell partversion) (64-bit).
