Cel Restore

Real-time color, line and sharpness enhancement for older anime, shows and movies.

Cel Restore makes older anime and video look cleaner and sharper while you watch. It runs live in your browser, with no downloads or re-encoding. WHAT IT DOES -Cleans up compression artifacts such as color noise, banding and halos around lines. -Smooths jagged edges and sharpens detail without making the picture crunchy. -Boosts and cleans up line art, with options to make lines bolder or thinner. -Makes blacks smooth and deep instead of grainy. -Adjusts color with saturation, vibrance, warmth, contrast, gamma, brightness and black point. EASY TO USE -Pick a preset (Enhance, Gentle or Cel clean) or tune the sliders yourself. -Every slider starts at neutral and has its own reset button. -Turn on Auto fixes and the extension measures the picture and tunes the advanced controls for you. -Use Compare to drag a divider across the video and see the original and enhanced picture side by side. -Press Alt+E to turn enhancement on or off for the current site. You can change the key at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. -Save your own profiles. They sync across your devices through your browser account. PRIVACY -Everything is processed on your device, using your graphics card. Cel Restore doesn’t collect, store or send your viewing activity or any video. Your settings and profiles are the only data it saves. GOOD TO KNOW -Protected streams (DRM) from some streaming services can’t be read by any browser extension. On those, Cel Restore falls back to basic color adjustments only (saturation, contrast and brightness). -Enhancement uses your GPU. If playback stutters on a very high-resolution video, lower the Render size in the popup.
