The field name is not showing up

I installed the extension but when I click on any field help, it has a box that says Copy Field Id but it is also not accurate. Is there a setting in NetSuite I need to activate as well?

Hello Diya. It sounds like you are confusing this extension with NetSuite Advanced Field Help.

Hey! You can have a look at the extension source code over at https://github.com/michoelchaikin/netsuite-field-explorer to see how it did. The basic idea is that you need to use a content script to inject a script element into the DOM and then you can send messages back and forth using window.postMessage.
