Overview
Inspect, organize, and clean bookmarks by page, domain, duplicates, age, and link health.
Do you have hundreds or thousands of bookmarks? Bookmark Scope helps you find the ones you need and clean up the ones you don't. WHAT YOU ALREADY SAVED Click the icon on any page. You see the bookmarks you saved for that page, that site, or that whole domain. A small number on the icon tells you how many match, so you know right away if you saved the page before. Open the dashboard to see your whole library. You can search, filter, group and sort it. Save a search as a view and open it again with one click. Press Ctrl+Shift+P (Cmd+Shift+P on a Mac) to open the command palette and use any action from the keyboard. SEE WHAT NEEDS CLEANING The dashboard shows you: • duplicate bookmarks, in groups • bookmarks that have the same title • bookmarks with no title • old bookmarks you may not use any more Pick a bookmark and a side panel shows its details. CLEAN UP WITH CARE • Merge duplicates. You see a preview first, and you choose which bookmark to keep. The tags are combined. • Change tags on many bookmarks at once. You can add, remove, rename or merge them. You see a before and after view, and you can undo. • Deleted a bookmark by mistake? Use Undo and it comes back with its tags. It is a new bookmark, because browsers do not let extensions bring back the original date. • Nothing changes unless you ask for it. FIND DEAD LINKS Some bookmarks stop working over time. Bookmark Scope can check your links and tell you which ones are broken, unreachable, redirected or failing. This is optional. Chrome asks for your permission before the first check, and you can pause a long check and continue it later. If a bookmark now redirects to a new address, you can update it after you confirm. STAY ON TOP OF IT Turn on review reminders if you want a nudge to look at your old bookmarks. An activity list shows what you cleaned and when. BACK UP AND MOVE • Save a snapshot of your library, with folders and tags. You can restore it later, after a preview. • Import bookmarks from a bookmarks.html file, or from a CSV or JSON file. • Export your bookmarks to JSON or CSV. MADE FOR EVERYONE Bookmark Scope comes in 52 languages, including languages that are written right to left. The translations are made by machine and we are still improving them. If you speak one of these languages and find a mistake, please tell us on GitHub. There are light and dark themes and four color palettes. You can also change the popup width, the default view, how duplicates are merged and how pages are matched. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU There is no server, no account, no tracking and no ads. Your bookmarks, tags and settings stay in your browser. The only network requests are link checks, and they go to the sites you bookmarked, only after you say yes.
