Progress disappears when you close out the tab

Just a small problem that's been a real hassle for me lately, and sadly hurt my dogs a lot, but there's a glitch where if you close the dog, sometimes it won't save that you interacted with it, and so next time you check in it's been 24 hours since they were last fed. I have a temporary fix, where you check in again, and if it took, leave it, but it's typically the same dogs, so I just remember to check some of them, but if they didn't respond to your feeding or petting or whatever, you take them out for a walk and do everything then, so you when you check in, typically they will be fine. There's a small chance that that won't work, but that's only happened once. I would like a more convenient solution though, as it takes a lot of time and effort to do this. Thank you!
