Smart Meet is for people who spend their day on calls and sometimes miss the moment someone asks them something. It sits in the browser's side panel while you're in a meeting and keeps track of the conversation for you. It flags: - questions that need an answer, and highlights the ones aimed at you - things that should be cleared up, like a vague deadline or an acronym nobody explained - action items and decisions as they come up For each question it suggests a short reply you can say right away. If you need a longer answer, click "Draft answer". When the call ends, you get a summary with action items, owners and open questions. You can also ask about the meeting in plain English, for example "what did I agree to?", and the answer points to the moment in the transcript where it was said. WHERE IT WORKS Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams in the browser, plus most other meetings that run in a tab. It can read the meeting's live captions (free, and it keeps speaker names) or transcribe the tab's audio with a speech-to-text service. BRING YOUR OWN KEY Smart Meet runs on your own AI account instead of a subscription. It works with the major AI providers and with custom API endpoints, and it can also use a model running on your own computer. Transcription works the same way: use your own speech-to-text provider or a self-hosted server. You choose and test your provider on the settings page. PRIVACY There's no Smart Meet server and no account to create. Transcripts are saved only in your browser. Audio and text go straight from your browser to the provider you picked. There's no analytics or tracking. You can delete meetings at any time, or have old ones deleted automatically. GETTING STARTED 1. Open the settings page, pick a provider and paste your API key. 2. Join your meeting in the browser, click the Smart Meet icon and press Start. 3. Press Stop when the meeting is over to get your summary. Note: browser extensions can't read the Zoom or Teams desktop apps, so join from the browser.
