RetroTime puts a floating timer widget on top of any webpage — no tab to switch to, no window to keep on top. Most timers live in a tab you have to hunt for; RetroTime stays on the page you are working in, drags anywhere and snaps to the nearest edge. Three timer modes • Stopwatch — count up from zero, no time limit • Countdown — 10/25/30/60-minute presets or any value from 1 to 999 minutes • Pomodoro — custom focus and break lengths (25/5 by default), auto-start the next phase, skip a break Control it without opening the popup • Start, pause and reset straight from the widget • Switch mode in one click • Lock the position so it never moves by accident • Minimize it to a slim title bar Alerts you will not miss • Desktop notification when the timer finishes — it arrives even when the browser is minimized • Toolbar badge shows the remaining minutes on the extension icon • 3 built-in sounds (beep, chime, gentle) or upload your own audio file • Sound can be switched off completely Stays out of the way • Opacity slider from 20% to 100% • Drag & snap with position memory • Session history saved on your device so you can review past focus sessions Free and licensed features Every timer feature is free forever: stopwatch, countdown, Pomodoro, alert sounds, opacity, drag & snap, lock, minimize and history. An optional license unlocks just two extras — custom font color and custom background color. If you never activate a license, nothing above changes. Privacy No account, no analytics, no tracking. Timers run locally in your browser and your history stays on your device.
