LearnTube — Learn without the noise
Overview
Hide Shorts and distractions. Choose the channels you trust in Focus Mode. Free, private, and local.
Make YouTube a quieter place to learn. LearnTube hides distractions and gives you optional control over which channels you watch. It is free and works without accounts, subscriptions, API keys or external AI. FEATURES • Block YouTube Shorts, including direct Shorts pages. • Hide homepage recommendations, video recommendations, navigation sidebars, end-screen suggestions and comments. • Disable the supported desktop player's next-video autoplay switch. • Optionally replace thumbnails with calm tiles while keeping video titles and duration visible. • Enable “Learning channels only” to limit playback to your learning list. • Start with 50 built-in channels, then search, add or remove channels to make the list your own. • Save preferences locally between browser sessions. YOU STAY IN CONTROL Distraction hiding and channel filtering are separate settings. You can keep all channels available while making the page quieter. The starter list is a selection, not a ranking or a guarantee that every video is educational. When channel identity cannot be verified, playback is paused with an explanation while channel filtering is enabled. YouTube layout changes may affect compatibility. PRIVACY LearnTube does not collect or transmit your personal data. Settings are stored locally in your browser. No backend, analytics or paid services are used. LearnTube is an independent extension and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
