Most job boards show you what someone paid to promote. The jobs you'd actually be good at are sitting further down, unpromoted, with far fewer applicants — and nobody ever shows them to you. Cavalry goes and gets them. It pulls postings from 22 job boards and company career pages, ranks every one against your résumé and what you actually want, and puts the best at the top of a queue. Then it fills in the application form for you. It runs on your device. There is no Cavalry account, no server, and nothing to pay for. NO API KEY NEEDED Cavalry works out of the box with no key, no model download, and nothing configured. Ranking happens on your machine. If you want sharper results you can connect a language model — your own API key, Chrome's built-in AI, or a model running locally. Better results, not more features. Every part of Cavalry works either way. Free keys are available if you want one. Cavalry points you at them. HOW IT RANKS Every posting gets three scores. FIT — how closely your résumé lines up with what the job asks for. WANT — how well the job matches what you told Cavalry matters to you. ODDS — how hard the role looks to win, based on seniority, credentials and other barriers. Shown as a reading — Long shot, Competitive, Strong — not a percentage, because no job board publishes how many people applied and a number would be made up. The three combine into one score, and postings land in A, B, C or Discard. When Cavalry cannot tell, it says so instead of guessing. A blank is a blank, not a bad score. TELL IT WHAT YOU CARE ABOUT Eight starting preferences, each rated 1 to 10, each with a "no thanks" switch that removes matching jobs from your queue entirely: Physically demanding · Nights and weekends · Predictable schedule · Dealing with the public · Heavy travel · Hazardous conditions · Requires a licence · Senior-level Add your own, rename them, delete the lot. A rating of 5 means you're neutral and nothing moves. WHERE THE JOBS COME FROM Remote job boards, open aggregators, startup portals and public RSS feeds work immediately with nothing to sign up for. Some larger platforms need a free developer key of their own. Those are optional — turn on only the sources you want, and set how many results each one returns. Cavalry also finds companies by the hiring software they use and watches their career pages directly, so you see postings before they reach the aggregators. AUTOFILL Cavalry fills in application forms from a personal answer bank you build once. On nine major hiring platforms — Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS and others — it starts automatically. Everywhere else, click the button and it works on the form in front of you. Store your answers by category: work history, education, skills, certifications, and the standard questions everyone asks. Import from a CSV, or have Cavalry draft them from your résumé. Lock the answers you've tuned so nothing overwrites them. When Cavalry isn't sure what a field wants, it asks you rather than filling in a guess. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU Everything lives in your browser. Your résumé, your answers, your jobs, your keys. There are no Cavalry servers. Not "we don't look at your data" — there is nowhere for it to go. No analytics. No telemetry. No third-party trackers. No crash reporting. If you connect a language model, that traffic goes to the provider you chose and nowhere else. Export everything as a single file whenever you like. Factory reset wipes it clean. GETTING STARTED 1. Open Cavalry and add your résumé on the Profile tab. 2. Go to the Queue tab and press Fetch. 3. Read the queue. That's it. Everything else — sources, preferences, a language model, autofill answers — is worth setting up once you've seen what it does, and none of it is required first. Free, permanently.
