Caute

Catch pages, selections, and links in Caute, and search what you've caught.

Caute keeps what you find. Catch a page as you see it — articles, docs, logged-in pages, PDFs open in the browser — with a click on the toolbar or ⌘⇧S, and Caute saves a readable copy, extracts the text, and makes it searchable by keyword and by meaning. In the extension • Catch the page you're on, with tags, a note, and the space it goes in, chosen before or after. • Right-click to catch a selection, a link, or an image. • See when you caught a page before, with its highlights, notes and tags, and catch a new version. • Search everything you've caught from the popup, and open the matching passage. • Send a page you've just caught to Thoute. In Caute (getcaute.com, on the web and iPhone) • Every result shows the passage that matched and where it came from. • Ask a question and get an answer that cites what you saved, sentence by sentence. • Notes, highlights, tags, and a graph of how things connect. • Connect AI assistants that support MCP, such as Claude, to search your library, with access you choose space by space. Your data • The extension sends something to Caute only when you catch it. It doesn't read or record your browsing. • What you save is private by default, encrypted at rest, and never used to train AI models. Caute has a free plan. You need a Caute account; sign in from the extension, with nothing to copy.
