Overview
Pomodoro timer, tasks and sticky notes in your toolbar - with floating always-on-top windows. Earn a cat for every focus session.
Catodoro is a cute pomodoro timer where every finished focus session earns you a cat. This extension puts the whole loop - timer, task list and sticky notes - in your toolbar, so a pomodoro can run without keeping the website open. ONE TIMER, EVERYWHERE Start a pomodoro in the popup, on the Catodoro web app, or in the floating window - they all share the same session, live. Pause in one place and it pauses everywhere. The toolbar badge counts down the minutes while you work, and a desktop notification with a meow tells you when the session is up. FLOATING TIMER Pop the timer out into its own little window that survives losing focus - it brings your task list and sticky notes with it, and the lists grow as you drag the window taller. Hit "Float on top" to shrink it to a true always-on-top mini window (document Picture-in-Picture) and park it in a corner while you write, code or read. No tab juggling. TASKS WITH A CAT ON THE LINE Add tasks, pick how many pomodoros each needs, and choose the cat who works alongside you. Finish a focus session with that task selected and the cat is yours - announced by a notification and a meow, and waiting in your Cat Book on the website. STICKY NOTES The same sticky notes as the website: quick text notes and checklists, synced in real time. Tick items off, promote any list item into a task in one click, and pop a note out into its own little window - which floats on top too - so it sits right next to whatever you're working on. SETTINGS RIGHT HERE Focus and break lengths, auto-start, and the completion sound (four cat sounds, or silence) are all editable in the popup. They're the same settings the website uses, so a change in either place applies everywhere. KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS Start or pause from any page with Alt+Shift+P. Reset has a slot too, unassigned by default. Both are rebindable at chrome://extensions/shortcuts, and the popup shows your current bindings. LIGHT BY DESIGN Catodoro does nothing in the background between events. A running timer is just an alarm set for the moment it ends: the popup unloads when you close it, and the extension wakes only to finish your session, refresh the badge, or re-sync. No polling, no page tracking, no analytics - and it never asks for access to the sites you visit. GOOD TO KNOW A free Catodoro account is required, created on the website with Google or email sign-in. Your timer, tasks, notes, settings and cats stay in sync between the website and the extension. "Float on top" uses document Picture-in-Picture (Chrome 116+); on macOS the floating window sits above normal windows, but not above an app in fullscreen.
