Overview

The Catodoro pomodoro timer and task list, without keeping the tab open.

Catodoro puts a cozy pomodoro timer and your task list right in your browser toolbar. Start a focus session, close the popup, and get on with your work: the countdown keeps running on its own, the toolbar badge shows the minutes left, and a notification (with a little meow) lets you know when it's time for a break. It's the companion extension to the Catodoro web app, and the two stay in sync. Start a timer on the website and the extension picks it up; start one in the popup and the site shows the same countdown. Pause, resume, and reset from whichever is closest. WHAT YOU GET • The full pomodoro flow: focus sessions with short and long breaks, using the durations saved in your account settings • Your task list, synced everywhere: add tasks, tick them off, and pick the one you're focusing on • A cat for every completed pomodoro. Longer sessions earn bigger cats, and your whole collection lives on the website • A minutes-remaining badge on the toolbar icon while a timer runs • A desktop notification and your chosen completion sound when a session or break ends • A keyboard shortcut to start or pause from any page (Alt+Shift+P by default, changeable in Chrome's shortcut settings) LIGHT BY DESIGN Catodoro does nothing in the background while you work. A running timer is just a scheduled wake-up at the moment it ends, so there's no page tracking, no analytics, and no battery drain. The extension never asks for access to the sites you visit. GOOD TO KNOW A free Catodoro account is required, created on the website with email or Google sign-in. Timer durations and sounds are managed in the website's settings, so the popup stays simple.
