Overview

Launch favorite sites from the toolbar and save temporary pages for later.

CatNav is a compact website launcher that opens directly from the Chrome toolbar. It gives you fast access to frequently used websites without replacing your New Tab page. Organize websites into categories such as Common, AI, Work, and Entertainment, then switch between them with a click or swipe. Navigation items are displayed in a compact five-column grid, keeping more shortcuts within easy reach. Save pages for later “Later” is a temporary space for websites you need in the near future but do not want to keep permanently. Add the current page with one click or use the CatNav context menu. Later items can expire automatically after 1, 3, 7, 14, or 30 days. Expired items move to the trash instead of being deleted immediately, so they can still be restored. Main features • Open CatNav directly from the browser toolbar • Organize websites into custom categories • Switch categories by clicking or swiping • Drag and reorder navigation items • Add the current website to Later • Add pages to Common or Later from the context menu • Automatically expire temporary pages • Restore deleted or expired pages from the trash • Import selected Chrome bookmarks into a chosen category • Import and export complete CatNav backups as JSON • Choose whether websites open in the current tab or a new tab • Light, dark, and system themes • English and Simplified Chinese interfaces • Optional reduced-motion mode Privacy and permissions CatNav does not require an account and does not provide cloud synchronization or analytics tracking. Navigation data and icon caches are stored locally on your device. Chrome bookmark access is optional and is requested only when you choose to import bookmarks. Website icons are loaded from Chrome or the destination website whenever possible. External icon services are disabled by default. If enabled in Settings, CatNav may send a website domain to an external icon provider solely to retrieve its icon. Why install CatNav? CatNav is designed for people who want a small, focused launcher instead of a full New Tab replacement. It keeps frequently used websites close at hand while giving temporary pages a dedicated place that cleans itself up over time.
