Catnap puts a cat on your screen when you've been scrolling too long. Set a time limit for the sites that tend to eat your day — social media, video feeds, news, or anything you choose. When you hit the limit, a cat strolls in, takes over the page, and blocks it until your break is done. WHY CATNAP IS HARDER TO IGNORE Most break reminders are one click away from being dismissed. Catnap isn't: • Reloading doesn't help. Your time is saved to disk, not just held in memory, so refreshing won't hand you a fresh allowance. • A new tab doesn't help. Time carries across every tab on the same site. • Closing the tab doesn't help. The break has a real end time and is still waiting when you come back — even after restarting your browser. • Switching away doesn't reset you. The timer pauses while you're gone and picks up where it left off. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the cat icon. Set your usage limit and how long the break lasts. 2. Add or remove the sites you want watched. 3. Browse as normal. When you hit your limit, the cat arrives. Time only counts while the tab is actually in front of you, so leaving something open in the background costs you nothing. PRIVACY Catnap makes no network requests at all. No analytics, no accounts, no ads, nothing sent anywhere. Your settings and your timer live in your browser's local storage and never leave your machine. The only permission it requests is "storage".
