Review manufacturer catalogs locally and manage official-page clips and history.

Catalog Pantry Explorer is a local-first Chrome Side Panel for viewing and searching manufacturer catalogs while keeping the surrounding catalog context visible. Key features: - Open a user-selected local PDF with the bundled PDFium WebAssembly runtime. The PDF is processed on the device and is not uploaded. - Pan, zoom, change pages, follow links inside the PDF, and explicitly open embedded HTTPS links that match the selected Catalog provider's official site. - For supported presets, search reviewed model-number data and open the corresponding page or highlighted product location. - For a connected text PDF without a matching reviewed index, explicitly build an on-device model-number index. These local results are shown as unreviewed text locations and are not presented as reviewed product regions. - Keep delivered Catalog providers and Catalogs separate from personal additions and local overrides. Local language preferences help filter available presets without hiding connected or personal Catalogs. - Download a registered official PDF only after pressing its explicit Download action, or connect an existing local PDF directly. - Save a clip from a visible Catalog result or recognized official product-detail page without leaving the Viewer. Clips can retain a Catalog page/location reference, an optional memo, and a validated official product-image URL when available. - Keep a bounded local history only for official search or detail pages opened through an explicit extension action. The extension does not send the PDF, model-number searches, clips, history, or personal settings to the developer. PDF bytes are read in bounded ranges while the selected Catalog is connected and are not copied into extension storage. A read-only file handle and bounded validation metadata may be stored in IndexedDB so the user can reconnect the PDF later. Rendered catalog pages and product-image bytes are not stored. A clip may retain one validated official image URL and display that image directly from the official site without a Referer. Optional access to Catalog Pantry Registry is requested only when the user presses the Catalog update control. Once granted, opening the Side Panel performs one conditional update check and activates only a newer approved revision. Optional access to the currently supported Catalog provider's official host is requested only when the user turns on official-page following for that Catalog. The current host is https://www2.panasonic.biz/*. Other Catalog providers cannot enable this integration. Ordinary explicit navigation to an official page remains permission-free. Official-page following reacts only to active-tab activation and URL-update events while the Side Panel is open. The extension does not poll, crawl sites, collect general browsing history, run background page monitoring, use analytics or advertising tracking, or synchronize an account. Reviewed location coverage is limited. When a page or product location is not confirmed, the extension says so instead of guessing. Catalog Pantry Explorer does not guarantee product specifications, stock, pricing, successor models, lighting performance, or suitability.
