Cashrou

One click on a receipt or checkout page sends the subscription to Cashrou, waiting for your approval.

Cashrou turns the receipt you are already looking at into a subscription you are actually tracking. Subscribing takes thirty seconds. Remembering that you subscribed, six weeks later, when the charge lands and you cannot place it, is the hard part. This extension closes that gap at the one moment you have all the facts in front of you: the price, the billing cycle, the plan, the renewal date, on the confirmation page. Click the Cashrou icon on any receipt, checkout confirmation or billing settings page. It reads the visible text of that page, works out what the subscription is and what it costs, and sends it to your Waiting for you list in Cashrou. NOTHING IS ADDED WITHOUT YOU The captured subscription does not go into your budget. It goes into a list of things waiting for your approval. You open Cashrou, look at what it read, correct anything it got wrong, and approve it. Only then does it start counting against your payday. NO SECOND SIGN-IN The extension has no account of its own and never sees a password. It uses the session you already have at app.cashrou.com. Sign in there once and the button works. Sign out there and the button stops working. That is the whole of it. IT ONLY READS WHEN YOU CLICK There is no background script watching your browsing. Nothing is read until you click the icon, and the only page it reads is the one in the tab you clicked on. REQUIRES A PAID CASHROU PLAN Cashrou is a personal finance app for people paid on a schedule: it plans each payday, tracks what you owe, and tells you what is genuinely left over. This extension is a companion to it, and reading a page is part of a paid plan. You will need a Cashrou account at app.cashrou.com, which starts with a free trial.
