CaseCapture OSINT is a local-first web evidence capture and documentation tool designed for investigators, analysts, researchers, and other users who need to preserve webpages in a structured and repeatable manner. CaseCapture allows the user to intentionally capture an HTTP or HTTPS webpage and generate an evidence package containing a full-page screenshot, preserved webpage information, capture metadata, documentation, and SHA-256 hashes for later integrity verification. Captures occur only when initiated by the user. CaseCapture does not monitor browsing activity in the background and does not upload captured evidence, case information, screenshots, or investigator documentation to the developer or any external CaseCapture service. Investigators may enter a case number, item or evidence number, investigator identifier, agency, and capture-specific notes. Case identification information may optionally be reused during the current browser session using the “Use Last Case Information” feature. Investigator Notes are never retained for reuse. CaseCapture also includes an Investigator Supplement workflow for documenting research conducted separately from the webpage collection process, such as IP address, DNS, WHOIS, hosting provider, CDN, VPN/proxy, and other infrastructure or attribution research. CaseCapture is a documentation tool and does not replace applicable legal requirements, organizational policies, evidence-handling procedures, preservation obligations, or professional judgment.
