Overview

Catch missing, hidden, or changed Shopify storefront elements after theme, app, or content updates.

A Shopify theme, app, or content update can quietly hide an Add to cart button or change critical storefront text. CartTelltale Check lets you save a working storefront element as a local baseline, then manually check it again after making changes. It flags missing or hidden elements and highlights text differences for your review. No account or Shopify Admin access is required. Baselines and feedback stay in your browser and are not uploaded. How it works: What’s new in version 0.6.0: • Save up to five storefront checks • See the latest status of every saved check • Walk through saved pages with Start store check • Open, update, or delete individual checks • Send optional feedback after completing a check • Existing single-check baselines are migrated automatically What it checks: • The monitored element is still present • The element is visible • The element appears interactive • The page title or monitored text changed Privacy by design: • Runs only when you click the extension • Uses temporary access to the active tab • Stores the monitored page, baseline, and feedback in Chrome local storage • Does not require an account or Shopify Admin access • Does not upload storefront data, screenshots, cookies, orders, or customer information Current scope: CartTelltale Check lets you save up to five storefront checks. Each check monitors one selected element on one exact storefront URL. You can review the latest result for every saved check and start a guided store check that opens the saved pages in order. Every check is still started manually by you. It does not run unattended in the background, place orders, test payment, monitor checkout, or guarantee that every customer journey is working. CartTelltale is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify.
