Overview
See a used car's reliability score, recalls, and known issues right on the listing, before you buy.
Shopping for a used car? CarScorer shows you how reliable it really is — right on the listing. As you browse CarGurus, AutoTrader, Cars.com, Edmunds, and Craigslist, CarScorer reads the vehicle you're viewing and instantly shows a badge with: • A 0–10 reliability score tuned for used-car buyers • NHTSA recall count, with a flag for critical safety recalls • The most common owner complaint for that year, make, and model • A suggested fair-price offer for the listing Click "See full report" for the full breakdown — every recall, top complaints, and safety ratings — and optionally save the car (with a link back to the original listing) to your free CarScorer garage. No account required to see scores. The extension does not track your browsing. It only reads the car listing you're viewing, and only sends that vehicle's details (year, make, model, VIN, mileage, and asking price) to generate the score. Reliability, recall, and complaint data come from NHTSA (the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). CarScorer is independent and not affiliated with any dealer or marketplace. Supported sites: CarGurus, AutoTrader, Cars.com, Edmunds, and Craigslist.
