Carrel — Research Clipper for Notion
Overview
Full-article web capture for researchers. Clips to Notion without truncating, with properties set before you save.
Long articles get cut off. Carrel fixes that. Notion's API caps how much content can be sent per request, so most clippers silently drop the rest of a long piece. You find out weeks later, when the part you needed is gone. Carrel chunks and batches the upload, so a 10,000-word article arrives complete. Built for research - Full article or just your selection - Set properties before you save — tags, status, and your own fields - Author, source, publication date, and excerpt captured as real properties, so you can filter and sort your library - Skips duplicates: clip the same page twice and Carrel tells you instead of cluttering your database - Lazy-loaded images resolved before capture - Cmd+Shift+S to clip straight to your default database Works offline Clip on a plane. Carrel queues what it can't send and syncs when you reconnect. Local-first, no account There's no Carrel server. Your Notion integration token stays in your browser, and the only host Carrel ever contacts is Notion's own API. No analytics, no tracking, no sign-up. Setup takes a minute: create a Notion integration, paste the token, share a database with it, and clip. Full privacy policy: https://artsci00.github.io/carrel/privacy.html Made by Toolwright.
