Carpet — X bookmark sync
Overview
Save your X (Twitter) bookmarks into your local Carpet library. Passive: reads only the bookmarks page's own data while you browse.
Carpet keeps everything you capture in a quiet little vault that lives in your Mac's notch. This companion extension adds your X (Twitter) bookmarks to it. It's passive by design: it never logs in for you and never calls X's API. While you're browsing x.com, it simply reads the bookmarks page's own data — the same data the page already loaded — and hands each bookmarked tweet (author, text, and image) to the Carpet desktop app over Chrome's native messaging. • Bookmark a tweet on X and it appears in Carpet automatically. • One-time history import: pull in up to 400 of your existing bookmarks in a single pass. • Nothing leaves your Mac — no servers, no accounts, no tracking, no analytics. Requires the free Carpet app for macOS, which installs the secure native-messaging link this extension talks to. Your existing bookmarks are baselined silently the first time, so your library isn't flooded.
