Save any prompt once. Type a trigger symbol in the chat input to search and insert it without leaving the keyboard. All data stays in your browser with nothing sent to any server. HOW IT WORKS Type your trigger symbol (default: >) at the start of a message or after a space. A dropdown opens with your saved prompts. Type to filter, use arrow keys or Ctrl+J/Ctrl+P to move, and press Enter or Tab to insert the prompt at your cursor. Press Escape to dismiss. FEATURES • Prompt library: create, edit, and delete prompts with a name and body • Type-to-search dropdown: command-palette style, appears above the chat input • Keyboard navigation: arrow keys, Ctrl+J/Ctrl+P, Enter or Tab to insert, Escape to dismiss • Per-site trigger config: set a different symbol per site to avoid conflicts with native shortcuts • GitHub sync: pull prompts from a GitHub repository; read-only and manual • JSON export and import: back up and restore your library • Local storage: all data stays in your browser with nothing sent to any server SUPPORTED SITES • Claude.ai • Gemini • ChatGPT PRIVACY Caret does not collect or transmit any personal data. All prompts and settings are stored locally in your browser. GitHub sync only contacts api.github.com when you manually trigger it.
