Overview

Full-page screen capture, annotations, and history — all local.

CaptureFlow takes the screenshot you actually wanted — the whole page, not just the window — and lets you mark it up before anyone else sees it. FOUR WAYS TO CAPTURE • Full page — scrolls the page and stitches the whole thing, including pages far taller than any window. • Visible area — exactly what is on screen, one shot. • Selection — drag a rectangle over the part you want. • Scrolling panel — pick one scrollable box inside a page (a log view, a chat pane, a table) and capture that. Captures wait for the page: lazy images and animations are allowed to settle first, sticky headers are held still, and if the page navigates away mid-capture CaptureFlow says so instead of handing you a broken image. MARK IT UP Draw, highlight, add rectangles, ellipses, arrows, text, callouts and numbered steps. Blur or fully cover anything sensitive by dragging a box over it. Crop, zoom and pan; undo and redo every step. COVER SECRETS WITH THE BUILT-IN SCAN The scanner reads the captured image on your device and finds email addresses, IP addresses, API keys, card numbers, Social Security numbers and dates of birth. Every find becomes a cover you can review one by one — un-tick what should stay visible, adjust a box, remove it — and nothing leaves the editor until you export it. The recognition engine ships inside the extension: no image, no text and no page is ever sent anywhere to be scanned. A HISTORY YOU CAN SEARCH Captures are kept on this device with their site, title and time. Search them, re-annotate one, export it again, or delete it. Two settings keep the store from filling the space your browser gives it: a retention window (7, 30 or 90 days, or forever) and a size budget (100 MB to 1 GB). A capture you have annotated is never removed automatically, and "Free up space now" is a button, not something that happens behind your back. FIVE WAYS OUT • PNG — annotated or clean, at the capture's own pixels • Copy to the clipboard • Save the annotated copy back to history • PDF — paginated, with A4 or Letter, screen / print / high resolution, and three quality steps • Print — a print view sized to the paper MADE FOR THE KEYBOARD Full page, visible area, quick copy of the visible area, and your default capture each have a shortcut you can rebind (Alt+Shift on Windows and Linux, Control+Shift on macOS), and all four capture modes are in the page's right-click menu. Light, dark or system appearance. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics and no telemetry switch — there is nothing to turn off, because nothing is transmitted. Captures, annotations and settings live on your device only. ABOUT THE FIVE PERMISSIONS CaptureFlow asks for five permissions and no host permissions, so it cannot read a page you did not ask it to capture. • activeTab — access to the tab you invoke it on (toolbar button, shortcut, or right-click menu) • scripting — runs the capture script in that one tab • storage — your settings, the capture in progress, and your local history • alarms — keeps a long capture from being interrupted when Chrome idles the extension's background worker • contextMenus — the four capture entries in the page's right-click menu
