Capture Motion

Overview
Capture an animation from any website and export it as code or a Figma Motion timeline.
Capture Motion records real animations from any website and turns them into usable, editable output — as runnable code, or as a real Figma Motion timeline you can tweak like any other layer. HOW IT WORKS Pick an element on a page and Capture Motion detects how it actually animates — on load, on hover, or on scroll into view. It reads the real values straight from the browser: WAAPI animations, CSS transitions and @keyframes, GSAP tweens, Lottie files, and even canvas-based animations as a last resort, all captured with their real duration, easing, and delay rather than an approximation. EXPORT AS CODE Every capture comes with ready-to-use CSS, React (Framer Motion), and GSAP snippets, so you can drop the exact motion into your own project without re-building it by hand or guessing at timing. BRING IT INTO FIGMA Pair it with the companion Capture Motion Figma plugin: paste in a capture and it rebuilds the element's real appearance and motion as an actual animated Figma layer — not a static screenshot, and not a video — so designers can inspect, hand off, or adjust the exact animation a site is really running. USE IT WITH YOUR FAVORITE LLM Every capture also comes with a "Copy for LLM" option: it copies the capture along with a ready-made instruction, so pasting straight into Claude, ChatGPT, or any other AI assistant produces a working HTML/CSS/JS reproduction of the animation with no extra typing needed. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Most animation inspectors show you computed styles at a single instant. Capture Motion replays the real transition — including ones that already finished before you opened the extension — and reconstructs the full keyframe sequence, so what you get out is the animation as it actually plays, not a guess reconstructed from one frame. Free to use. No account required. Captured animation data stays on your device — the one exception is a rare fallback case (an animation with no detectable structure at all, captured only as raw video) where a few recorded frames may be sent to OpenAI to generate a short text description; this never happens for the normal WAAPI/CSS/GSAP/Lottie capture paths.
