CaptionDesk helps you work with captions on the YouTube video you are currently viewing. - Copy the full transcript in one click. - Download captions as a text file. - Generate a concise AI summary with your preferred provider or local Ollama model. - Keep separate provider settings on your device. - Summarize long transcripts in sections instead of silently cutting them off. CaptionDesk works when a video provides captions or auto-generated captions. It does not transcribe audio. AI summaries are optional. When you request one, the transcript is sent directly from your browser to the provider you selected. CaptionDesk has no developer-operated backend, analytics, or advertising. CaptionDesk is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
