StreamRec
Overview
Record live streams from MediaSource (MSE) based websites. Saves video directly from the browser without screen capture.
StreamRec records supported MediaSource (MSE) web streams directly in Chrome without capturing the screen. Key features: - Record supported live media streams from sites enabled by the user. - Save recordings locally through Chrome's download system. - Handle stream restarts and combine compatible recording segments. - Use browser-based conversion when the optional Native App is unavailable. - Optionally use the local StreamMerger Native App for ffmpeg-based merging. - Display recording size, duration, resolution, segment count, and conversion progress. - Automatically stop recording after a configurable period without a stream signal. StreamRec processes recordings locally. It does not upload recorded media to a StreamRec server. Only record content that you own or are authorized to record. StreamRec is not designed to bypass DRM, subscription controls, or other access restrictions. Website compatibility may change when a website changes its media delivery technology. Chrome 120 or later is required. The optional StreamMerger Native App is installed separately.
