This extension adds fine-grained playback speed control on HTML5 videos.

Fine-grained playback speed control for HTML5 video. Speed up or slow down in 0.25x steps with a keystroke, jump straight to 1x, 2x or 3x, and skip or rewind without reaching for the mouse. Every change shows the new speed in a small overlay on the video, in fullscreen too, and the speed you chose carries from one video to the next in the same tab until you change it. It controls whichever video is actually playing, so scrolling feeds, stories and short-form videos work without any fiddling, and it reaches players embedded inside other pages. ⌨️ Shortcuts — w/q for ±0.25x, a/s/d for 1x/2x/3x, z shows the current speed ⏩ Skip and rewind — shift + ←/→ for 2 seconds, shift + ↑/↓ for 10 seconds 👀 Speed overlay — on the video whenever the speed changes, also in fullscreen 🎯 Follows the playing video — it drives what you are watching, not whatever the page loaded first 🌐 Runs only where it is needed — a fixed list of video and social websites, such as YouTube; the complete list is on the project page below ⚡ Stays out of the way — no background page, no network access, and nothing added to the page but the speed overlay 🔒 Nothing collected — no analytics, and no data sent anywhere Open source (MIT): https://github.com/ricardobcl/HTML5-Speedy-Video-Extension
