Canvas ZIP Preview

Preview ZIP submissions in Canvas SpeedGrader without saving or extracting files.

Canvas ZIP Preview adds a Preview ZIP button beside ZIP submissions in Canvas SpeedGrader. Browse folders and filenames, search the archive, and inspect supported text, source code, images, and binary files without leaving the grading page. The selected ZIP is fetched through your existing Canvas session and processed locally in your browser. The extension does not save or extract submission contents to disk, send them to the developer, require an account, show ads, or use analytics. Supports hosted Canvas sites at *.instructure.com. Archives are limited to 250 MB. Stored and Deflate-compressed files can be previewed; encrypted files can be listed but not previewed. Custom school domains are not yet supported. Canvas is a trademark of Instructure, Inc. This independent extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instructure.
