Canvas Compass

ASU Canvas deadlines, course filters, adaptable themes, and optional Google Calendar sync.

Canvas Compass helps ASU students keep track of Canvas coursework. Choose courses, filter deadlines, view submission status, and select a color scheme or adapt the interface to Canvas. Refresh a read-only Canvas snapshot and export it locally as JSON. Optional Google Calendar connection creates separate course calendars and updates assignment events when verified Canvas due dates change. Access is limited to calendars created by the app. Existing calendar imports are not automatically migrated. Sync does not delete events or modify Canvas submissions. Monitoring starts only when you enable it. Canvas snapshots and settings stay in your Chrome profile unless you export them or enable Calendar sync. Calendar sync sends assignment titles, due times, source links, and submission status to Google. Optional Pushover sends short sign-out or test messages and your notification keys, not coursework. No ads or analytics. Requires a signed-in canvas.asu.edu tab. Saved snapshots may be stale or partial; Chrome sleep, network conditions, and sign-in expiration can delay refresh or sync. Arizona time is used for deadlines. Google Calendar connection is optional. Personalized email digest delivery is not included.
