Canvas Clipper

Save a page, selection, image, or link to your Canvas Capture Inbox.

Canvas Clipper is an early-access companion for Canvas Capture Inbox. It can prepare a private draft from the current page, selected text, a public image, or a link, then lets you review the title, excerpt, source, and destination before saving. Use the toolbar popup or the page context menu to choose what you want to capture. Drafts are normalized and kept in extension session storage; Canvas uses an idempotency key to avoid duplicate saves. The extension reads the active tab only after you invoke it. Privacy and control: • Host access is limited to app.startwithcanvas.com • No background browsing or advertising • Public http/https sources only; private network and credential-bearing URLs are rejected • Canvas connection data is kept in extension session storage and cleared when invalid or expired • Captures are private to your authorized Canvas workspace by default Saving requires an authorized, time-bounded Canvas connection and a workspace with Capture Inbox enabled.
