Overview
Reduce Instagram distractions with focus modes, DM mode, and a daily pass.
You opened Instagram to check a DM. Twenty minutes later, you’re deep in Reels. CalmFeed removes the parts of Instagram that hijack your attention, including the feed, Explore, Reels, and other distracting surfaces, so you only see what you came for. Pick a mode and let CalmFeed handle the rest. 🎯 FOCUS MODE Hides Instagram’s distracting surfaces during timed work sessions, helping you stay focused without relying on willpower. 💬 DM MODE Keeps Instagram focused on your messages. No feed, Reels, Explore, or unnecessary rabbit holes. ⚙️ CUSTOM MODE Choose exactly what Instagram shows. Hide Home, Explore, Search, Saved, Notifications, Direct Messages, Create, and more. 🙈 SHARED REEL CONTROLS Choose how Reels sent through Instagram messages appear: • Show the Reel normally • Blur the Reel preview • Hide it completely When hidden, the Reel is replaced with a simple blue message identifying the sender, such as “Alex sent a reel.” 🔵 IMESSAGE-STYLE APPEARANCE Give every Instagram message a clean blue bubble for a more consistent and distraction-free messaging experience. ⏳ DAILY PASS Give yourself one timed window to access Reels and Explore. When the timer ends, CalmFeed automatically restores your calmer settings. 🫥 BLUR REEL THUMBNAILS Blur tempting Reel previews until you intentionally choose to view them. 🩶 GRAYSCALE MODE Remove the bright colors that make Instagram harder to put down. 🌙 DARK MODE Use a calmer, easier-on-the-eyes extension popup. 🔒 PRIVACY FIRST CalmFeed has no accounts, analytics, advertisements, or tracking. Instagram page changes happen locally in your browser. Your preferences and timer state are stored using Chrome extension storage and may sync through your Chrome profile when Chrome Sync is enabled. CalmFeed isn’t about quitting Instagram. It’s about using it intentionally, without wondering where the last hour went.
