Overview

Reduces mouth smacks and lip smacking sounds in YouTube videos as you watch. Made for misophonia. Audio stays on your computer.

CalmEar makes YouTube easier to watch when mouth sounds bother you. If lip smacks, wet mouth noises and smacking while talking make your favourite creators hard to watch, CalmEar detects those sounds in YouTube videos and reduces them as the video plays. The rest of the audio is left as it is, so voices stay clear. Made for people with misophonia and anyone sensitive to mouth sounds. HOW IT WORKS • Open any YouTube video: CalmEar works automatically. • A machine-learning model trained on mouth smacks analyses the audio slightly ahead of playback. • When it detects a smack, CalmEar reduces it, usually before you hear it. • A small "CalmEar on" indicator on the video shows how many smacks have been detected. • Turn CalmEar on or off from its toolbar icon at any time. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • All audio processing happens on your computer, inside your browser. • CalmEar never records, uploads or stores the audio you listen to. • CalmEar does not track the videos you watch or your browsing history. • Your account holds only what is needed to run it: your email address and your subscription status. FREE TRIAL, THEN SIMPLE PRICING • 30-day free trial, no credit card required. • Then €4.99 per month or €39.99 per year. Cancel anytime. GETTING STARTED 1. Add CalmEar to Chrome. 2. Click the CalmEar icon, then "Sign in / Create account". 3. Open a YouTube video and watch in peace. GOOD TO KNOW • Works on YouTube in Google Chrome on desktop and laptop computers. • The install includes the CalmEar detection model, which is why the download is larger than most extensions. • CalmEar reduces mouth sounds; it may not catch every sound, especially when it overlaps with loud speech or music. • CalmEar is a comfort tool, not a medical treatment. • Want to hear it first?
