Calm Reader for X makes x.com quiet enough to read at work. What it does • Removes the left navigation and the right rail: search, trends, who to follow and Premium. • Hides Grok, the messages drawer, promoted posts, view counts and the "Translated from" and "Made with AI" lines. • Sets the timeline as one centred 660px column with serif text, and dims the reply, repost and like bar until you hover a post. • Turns pictures and videos into grey tiles. Click a tile to show just that item; a video starts playing. • Filter posts: type words in the box beside the column and only posts containing all of them stay. The rest fold into a thin line and the box counts them. • Click the toolbar icon to switch it off and on in every x.com tab. It remembers your choice. It only changes layout and typography, so X's light, dim and dark themes keep working. Privacy It collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. It makes no network requests of its own and stores one setting, whether it is on or off, on your computer. It does not stop X's own data collection, and hidden pictures and videos are still downloaded from X.
