Overview

Detects events in your Gmail messages and adds a 'CalIt' button to create a Google Calendar event, linked back to the email.

CalIt turns event emails into calendar entries in one click. When you open a Gmail message that describes an event — a concert or show ticket, a booking confirmation, an appointment reminder — CalIt detects it and adds a "CalIt" button to Gmail's toolbar. Click it and Google Calendar opens with everything pre-filled: • Title — the event's own name • Date and time — parsed from the email • Location — the venue or address • Description — the full event details, plus a link back to the original email Review and save. That's it. WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT • One click from email to calendar — no copy-pasting dates and venues. • A link back to the source email is added to every event, so the booking details are always one tap away. • The button only appears when there's actually an event, so it stays out of your way on everything else. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-in, no permissions to your calendar. • Everything runs locally in your browser. Your email content is never sent to any server — CalIt has no backend and collects no data. • It works by opening Google Calendar's own "create event" page with the details filled in; you always press Save yourself. HOW IT WORKS CalIt reads the text of the email you're viewing, looks for a date and event-like details, and builds a Google Calendar link. It runs only on mail.google.com.
