Calendar Free Time

Calculates availability from busy times in your primary Google Calendar and outputs it as text.

Calendar Free Time is a Chrome extension that calculates availability from your primary Google Calendar and turns it into clean, easy-to-copy text. Choose a date range and daily time window, and Calendar Free Time calculates the periods when your calendar is free. You can filter out short time slots, choose an output format, convert availability to another time zone, and copy the result with one click. Japanese Chrome uses the Japanese interface, while English Chrome uses the English interface. Other interface languages fall back to English. The output format can be selected independently of the interface language. This makes it possible, for example, to use the Japanese interface while generating English availability text for an international recipient. Time-zone conversion Calendar Free Time uses your browser's current IANA time zone by default. You can also select a popular destination such as Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Singapore, Seoul, or Sydney, or search for another supported time zone by city, country, ISO country code, or IANA time-zone ID. Country searches may return multiple time zones when a country contains more than one time zone. Calendar Free Time does not automatically choose a single time zone for such countries. Availability is converted using IANA time-zone rules, including daylight-saving-time transitions and local date changes. When a daylight-saving-time fall-back creates an ambiguous repeated local time, Calendar Free Time adds the necessary time-zone abbreviation or UTC offset to keep the time unambiguous. Session preferences While Chrome remains open, Calendar Free Time remembers your selected output preset, output time zone, and time-zone display setting. These preferences use Chrome's in-memory session storage and are cleared when Chrome restarts. Calendar availability and OAuth tokens are not stored in this session storage. Privacy Calendar Free Time uses the Google Calendar FreeBusy API and only uses the start and end times of busy periods needed to calculate availability. It does not retrieve event titles, descriptions, attendees, locations, meeting URLs, or other event details. Time-zone searches are processed locally within the extension. Calendar Free Time does not send city names, country names, ISO country codes, or time-zone search queries to an external time-zone or geolocation service. Google Calendar information and calculated availability are not sent to or stored on developer-operated servers or databases. Calendar Free Time does not use advertising, analytics, or telemetry. Only the primary Google Calendar is currently used when calculating availability.
