Calendar Checkoff
Overview
Turn Google Calendar into a time-blocked to-do list. Alt-click an event (Option-click on Mac) to check it off.
Turn Google Calendar into a time-blocked to-do list. I schedule time for the things I want to do. When I finish one, I want to see it clearly in my calendar as done. Calendar Checkoff adds that missing last step. Hold Alt and click an event. On a Mac, hold Option and click. Calendar Checkoff adds a ✅ to the beginning of the event title. Use the same gesture again to remove it. That’s the whole extension. - No new task system to maintain - No extra interface or popup - No Calendar API or OAuth access - No account, analytics, advertising, or backend - No data collection or remote code Everything happens in your browser. Google Calendar saves the title change just as if you had edited the event yourself. Calendar Checkoff works on events you can edit. For a recurring event, it updates the selected occurrence by default. It cannot change read-only calendars or events you do not have permission to edit. I built this for myself. I’m sharing it in case someone else works the same way. Calendar Checkoff is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
