Overview
Calculate thermal transmittance and U-values from layers, lambdas and glazing locally, with no server.
CTE U-Value Calculator helps technical architects, energy assessors, window manufacturers and quotation teams estimate thermal transmittance directly in the browser. Paste layers such as `80 mm EPS lambda 0.036`, select text from a catalogue, scan the visible page or read the clipboard after an explicit click. The extension calculates layer resistance, total resistance and U-value locally. Supports: - thickness + lambda layers - explicit R-values - glazing shorthand such as 4/16/4 and 4/16/4 argon - local material presets - configurable surface resistances - batch review - local CSV, JSON and text reports - temporary highlights in the active page Privacy and security: - no account - no server - no API request - no broad website permission - no remote code - no project data stored by default Important: this is an estimating aid. It does not certify CTE compliance, CE marking, Passivhaus, grants or manufacturer-declared performance.
