CalTopo LPB Planner
Overview
Plan lost person behaviour rings and directional boundaries directly on CalTopo and SARTopo maps.
Create lost person behaviour distance rings and directional boundaries directly on the CalTopo or SARTopo map you are using. Choose a subject profile, environment and terrain; select an existing marker or enter coordinates for the initial planning point; then choose distance percentiles and an optional direction of travel. Preview the geometry and add it to the map. Features: • Native map drawings on saved and unsaved maps. • Existing markers refresh automatically while the sidebar is visible. • Updates reuse generated objects and detect conflicting manual edits. • Distance units in kilometres or miles. • GeoJSON export and locally saved drafts. • Sidebar available only on CalTopo and SARTopo pages. No API key, separate server, analytics or advertising. Drawings use your current map permissions. Save an unsaved map in CalTopo to keep its objects.\n\nHistorical distance and directional percentiles are separate reference measures, not a combined probability or terrain model. This is an independent extension by Vadim Likholetov, not affiliated with or endorsed by CalTopo.
