Tweet to Markdown — Whole Threads

Copy any X post or whole thread as clean Markdown, ready for Obsidian, Notion or any app that reads .md.

Tweet to Markdown puts a small Markdown icon next to reply, repost and like under every post on x.com. Click it and the post is on your clipboard as clean Markdown. Hold Shift, or use the "Whole thread" button in the notification, and the entire thread by that author is collected and copied in one go. Made for people who keep notes. Save straight into your Obsidian vault, or into any folder you pick: the note and its assets folder land side by side, with relative links your app resolves. No plugin to install, no account to connect. WHAT YOU GET • One click per post: no menus, no extra tabs, no sign-in • Whole threads, however long: the page is scrolled for you and scrolled back afterwards, with a live counter and a Cancel button • Clean output: line breaks, emoji, mentions, hashtags and links all become proper Markdown • Images, video thumbnails, link cards, polls, quoted posts and attached X Articles are included • An Export Center for every entry: Markdown, a portable .zip with the media saved beside it, a standalone HTML document, structured JSON, or rich text for word processors and email, or the whole lot written straight into a folder you pick • Pictures are kept on your computer as you copy, so your notes still have them after the post is gone • A searchable copy history: copy again, download as .md, open on X, or delete • Formatting you control: title line, author, date, post link, image style, numbering, separators, plain text or blockquote, with a live preview of every change • Matches your X theme and accent colour: Default, Dim or Lights out • The panel can sit at the side of the window instead of closing on every click, so a long reading session stays in one window EXPORT AND SAVE • Markdown on the clipboard, ready to paste into any notes app • "Save to a folder" writes the note and its assets folder into a folder you pick, with relative links, so a Markdown app opens the file as it is; the folder is remembered, so the next save is one click • "Open in Obsidian" jumps straight to the note that was just written • "Copy rich text" keeps the formatting when you paste into a word processor or an email • A portable .zip, a standalone HTML document or structured JSON when you need something other than .md These are ordinary files on your computer: no plugin to install, no account to connect, no sync service in between. 14 LANGUAGES The interface is available in 14 languages. It follows your browser language and can be pinned to one of them in Settings. PRIVACY Nothing leaves your browser: no accounts, no analytics, no server of ours, no tracking. When you ask for media to be kept, the pictures are read straight from X and saved on your computer, and files are built in your browser - nothing is ever uploaded. Your settings, your history and your saved media stay on your machine and disappear when you delete them or remove the extension. Only two permissions are requested: storage and clipboardWrite. HOW TO USE 1. Open x.com. 2. Click the Markdown icon under a post to copy that post. 3. Shift-click it to copy the whole thread (open the post first). 4.
