Wedjat, the Eye of Horus, watches over your connection. One click shows you exactly what the internet sees when it looks back at you. WHAT IT SHOWS - Public IP (and IPv6 when available), with a copy button - ISP / organization and ASN - Approximate location, timezone and postal code - WebRTC leak check: detects whether your local IP is exposed to websites, even behind a VPN. The test runs entirely in your browser and contacts no server. OPTIONAL FEATURES (off by default) - Country flag or country code on the toolbar icon - Notification when your public IP changes: handy for dynamic-IP home servers, remote access or dynamic DNS setups PERSONALIZATION - Light, dark or match-system theme - Color palettes: Wedjat Gold, Emerald Scarab, Crimson Lotus and Moonlit Silver, or your own colors - 10 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Simplified Chinese PRIVACY Wedjat has no server of its own, no accounts, no analytics and no ads. It never collects, sells or shares your data. The only network request is the lookup of your IP with a geolocation provider (ipwho.is, with ipapi.co and ipify.org as fallbacks). Your preferences and a 5-minute cache are stored only in your browser. PERMISSIONS - storage: saves your preferences and the local cache - alarms: only if you enable the toolbar badge or IP change alerts - notifications: only to alert you when your IP changes, if you enable it - Access to ipwho.is, ipapi.co and api64.ipify.org: solely to look up your IP. Wedjat cannot read or modify the pages you visit. WHY "WEDJAT"? In ancient Egypt, the Wedjat, the Eye of Horus, was a symbol of protection, watchfulness and restored sight. This extension borrows the name for the same reason: it keeps watch over your connection.
