SpotNote – UI Feedback & Sync Scroll
Overview
Pin UI feedback to exact elements, copy selector-rich Markdown, and sync scrolling across Chrome Split View pages.
Turn visual feedback into implementation-ready context, then compare pages without losing your place. SpotNote gives developers, designers, and PMs two focused workflows in one lightweight extension: • UI Feedback — click the exact webpage element, write the change, and copy selector-rich Markdown to your coding agent. • Split View Sync Scroll — link both pages in Chrome Split View and scroll them together by page progress. UI FEEDBACK WORKFLOW 1. Choose UI Feedback from the toolbar menu, or press Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+E. 2. Hover to identify an element, click it, and write your feedback. Numbered markers keep every target visible. 3. Locate any saved target again, edit the note inline, or switch to normal browsing without closing the panel. 4. Press Copy to send clean Markdown to your AI coding agent. Delivered notes clear automatically and can be restored with Undo. WHAT YOUR AGENT RECEIVES Each note includes the CSS selector, element tag, visible text, page URL, and iframe path when relevant: ## 1. form.checkout > button[type="submit"] - Element: <button> "Place order" - Feedback: Match the width of the input above LATEST FEATURES • One menu for UI Feedback and Split View Sync Scroll • Bidirectional, progress-matched scrolling across two Chrome Split View pages • Target locator, inline note editing, numbered markers, Clear all, and Undo • Notes persist locally per page across reloads and repeat visits • Separate note contexts for SPA routes, query/hash states, and open detail dialogs • Precise selection inside accessible same-origin and nested iframes • Keyboard-first controls: Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+E to toggle; Shift+Enter or Cmd/Ctrl+Enter to add • Smooth panel, copy, clear, and restore transitions • No account or setup SYNC SCROLL & PERMISSIONS Sync Scroll requires Chrome 140 or later. Page access is optional and requested only when you choose Sync Scroll. UI Feedback continues to use temporary active-tab access only. PRIVACY Your notes stay in chrome.storage.local and leave the browser only when you press Copy. Sync Scroll links the two visible pages locally and sends no page data to a server. SpotNote runs no AI model and sends nothing to any server. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and any tool that accepts pasted Markdown. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, Cursor, OpenAI, or Google.
