Tidy Tabs

One-click AI tab grouping, in the spirit of Arc's Tidy Tabs.

Click the broom and your loose tabs get sorted into named, colored tab groups by topic — "LEGO", "Japan trip", "CS50" — the way you'd organize them by hand. Modeled on Arc's Tidy Tabs feature. WHAT IT DOES • Click the icon (or press Alt+T / Option+T) to tidy the current window. • Pinned tabs and tabs already in a group are left alone. Re-tidy later and new tabs join a matching group by name. • Everyday tools like Gmail and Calendar stay loose instead of being forced into topic groups. • Granularity setting: Broad, Balanced, or Specific. • Optional auto-tidy once loose tabs pass a threshold you set. The badge shows your loose-tab count. • Optional duplicate-tab closing (keeps the newest, never closes the tab you're on). • "Never tidy this tab" in the right-click menu to protect anything you want left alone. AI PROVIDERS Bring your own key; the extension has no server. Gemini's free tier works (no card needed), or Claude / OpenAI keys. In Chrome 138+ you can also use the browser's built-in on-device model with no key at all. A keyless "by domain" mode groups by website without AI. PRIVACY Only tab titles and URLs are sent to the provider you pick, directly from your browser — not page contents, not history. Nothing is collected by the developer. Does not work in Arc (Arc doesn't let extensions create sidebar groups). Works in Dia, Chrome, Brave, Edge, and other Chromium browsers with native tab groups.
