BuyTime is a lightweight Chrome extension designed to help you defeat impulse spending. Whenever you try to buy something online, BuyTime intercepts the click, calculates the "opportunity cost" of the item in terms you actually care about, and enforces a mandatory cooling-off timer before you can proceed. 🚀 Features - Contextualised Cost: See exactly what a purchase really costs. BuyTime converts the price tag into the hours you have to work to pay for it, or the number of pints, coffees, or takeaways you could have bought instead. - Mandatory Cooling-Off: A customisable timer prevents you from instantly checking out, forcing you to step away and consider if you actually want the item. - Smart Detection: Automatically detects "Add to Cart" and "Buy Now" buttons across major e-commerce platforms. - Custom Counterfactuals: Set your own custom comparisons (e.g., gym sessions, streaming subscriptions) right from the settings page. - Element Whitelist: Accidentally triggered on a non-buy button?
