Bulk Textreplacer for Jira
Overview
Bulk find & replace across your Jira issue hierarchy
Chrome MV3 extension: bulk find-and-replace in the Summary and Description fields for JQL search results, with task hierarchy support (Epic → Story → Subtask), preview, and undo. Equivalent of the Forge-based Textreplacer app, but for Jira Server / Data Center 8.20.x, where Forge isn't available. How authorization works The extension uses the user's existing cookie session (JSESSIONID) — a standard, documented Atlassian mechanism for browser-based integrations with Server/DC. The session is attached by the browser automatically (credentials:'include' plus a granted host permission on the domain); the Cookie header is not set manually (it's a forbidden header in fetch). Mutations add X-Atlassian-Token: no-check. The extension operates strictly within the user's permissions — it only changes what the user could already edit themselves.
